Questions

place to stay near Noe Valley/Mission/Castro

Location: San Francisco, CA

This is a follow-up to the Santa Cruz question, since my girlfriend and I are staying in San Francisco one night on our "girls weekend". We are looking for a place near the spots we want to go out. Any suggestions from the SF savvy folks out there?

I've never stayed there (since I used to *live* in SF) but I always thought the Parker Guest House ( http://www.parkerguesthouse.com/ ) looked nice from the outside. It's right near Dolores Park, which sounds like the area you are looking for.

Parker Guest House

I've never stayed there, but it looks nice from the outside. They cater mostly to gay clientele but they will actually allow you to stay there even if you are heterosexual.

hey debby, if you like french toast, you MUST eat at Chloe's... and be sure to get it with strawberries...

Thanks for the recommend on the place to stay, it looks like it is in a great area. Also, since I am going with my girlfriend, we should be able to slide by...

Hey Debbie,

Have you had your night yet?

We're in Duboce Triangle, which is not quite the area you're interested in but it's pretty central/near to the areas you've mentioned.

I've got a couple options: our neighbor runs a couple B&B's in the area (www.24henry.com). They definitely cater to LGB&T folks, but prices seem pretty good. Also, our friend's parents have stayed there and say it's clean, nice. Additionally, other neighbors have a rental unit downstairs in their place that might be available. If you're interested, just email me and I can send you their contact info.

Lastly, there are a few motels around our area - a travelodge and beck's motor lodge (both are on market st).

Not sure if you're looking for crash pad or luxe experience. I can keep my eyes open for other options too/ask friends if they'll be out of town.
