Christmas gifts for PK teachers

Does anyone have numbers on how much to give preschool teachers for Christmas gifts? We have two regular teachers and two specialty teachers who come in once or twice a week for a class of 14 4-year olds.

I just want to make sure I am not way out of line in either direction.

I think I gave out 20$ each in cash, but most people do gifts or gift cards. I saw people giving some really hideous tsatchkes, so i am thinking they will be grateful for anything that is above that bar.

We collected money for a class gift in preschool. I think it came out to approx. $15 per kid. I think anything in the $15-$25 range is appropriate for the "regular" teachers. Less for once or twice per week.

Thanks, guys. That makes it easier for me.

Most years in my kids's school, there has been an organized parent who plans a group gift. They usually suggest from $5 to $20 a kid.

Gifts/group gifts are questionable unless you really know what the teacher wants or needs. A gift card of 15-25 dollars is always a safe respectful way to show your appreciation.

Having a bunch of gifts that go into the basement every year is a waste of your money and their basement space.
