Yes, we "used" one. We have the Arms Reach Co-Sleeper, and I used the quotation marks because we only put our son in there for a few days before I realized that a baby makes too much noise for me to sleep in the same room. So we have used it more as a bassinet than as a co-sleeper. But it's well-made and easy to use, if that's what you want to know.
I recommend a bassinet .. that way you can pick it up and move it to another room and get some sleep. If you are 'well' rested then your kid(s) will be happier :D
we never used one of those, but you might consider a pack-n-play, which has more flexibility. That is what we used in our room for the first couple nights with Drew (until we moved it to another room for similar reasons that Satomi mentioned). The girls could fit in there until they were almost three I think
another thought - how about using your bed and swaddling, so baby doesn't get used to mom's warm body, but acclimates to the more portable swaddle?
