We like "Poppies" at 2234 S. Colorado blvd (303-756-1268). Many DU people take their guests there. The food is always fresh and good - they have a very good variety (we usually go for dinner) and it's reasonable. Whenever our friends come from California they ask to go to Poppies.For Japanese we like Japon - 1028 S, Gaylord st. near Wash park (303-744-0330). Even though we are not sushi eaters their teriyaki salmon, chicken and tempura are great. Nice atmosphere but you need to come early for dinner. They also have a branch in Boulder.
