Someone to help with knee problem

Location: Palo Alto, CA

I'm looking for a recommendation for an orthopedic specialist or a physical therapist. I have been having some pain in my knee, though I don't know what caused it.

Thanks!

I went to Valerie at Tobias for my back, and she is terrific. I think you need a doctor's referral to go there though

If you have been through the works (chiropractor, orthopod, acupuncture...) and have realized that about the only thing that will work for your back pain is physical therapy, then Valerie is your girl. My sessions were split: half exercises, half massage. This was the only relief I got for my chronic back pain aside from standing alot

I was told that I needed back surgery in Philadelphia. I went back to see my chiropractor in Albany who had been saving my life for years and after not being able to walk for three months, had me hiking within the week.

I now take a trip to California just to see him and get things back into shape; whether it is my back, knees, ankle, hip. He does kinesiology. He literally can fix anything and his knowledge of the body is limitless.

I know he is not as near to you as others, but I cannot recommend anybody more than this man. His first visit is really expensive.

Good Luck.

I highly recommend my orthopedist at Palo Alto Medical Foundation (Dr. Nomi Kahn). He is super sharp and easy to communicate with. I have seen him off an on for years for lower back issues and he is terrific. Since being pregnant I've been having some knee pain and he was very quickly able to tell me what I needed to fix the problem.

Thanks for the referral. I'm going to try to look closer to home, but if you can travel from Philadelphia to see this guy, I could probably cross the Bay... :^)

This sounds like a perfect start. I've gotten this knee pain after I got pregnant, too, but I didn't think it was related. Anyway, thanks for the referral!
