Donating Used Toys

Location: San Francisco Bay Area

Anyone have suggestions on places to donate used toys? I'm trying to get the kids to clear some space in before the holidays - but it seems that the Salvation Army and Goodwill (I think?) only accepts new-in-the box toys.

Hi Pam we've donated used toys to our kids' daycare (Early Horizons).

I'd imagine many other daycare facilities would be happy to take toys as well, so you could try pinging one that's convenient/close for you (or even call Early Horizons).

Pam,
My neighbor has a sister who's a home visit nurse and she works with lots of new, single moms. She always gladly takes our toys and is super excited about getting them. If you need a receipt though, I can't promise any evidence/paperwork for your tax filings. :)

Hi Kirby! I would love to hand them over to your neighbor's sister. No receipt necessary - I just need to clear the space!! Hope your doing well!!

yes, we're good. i'll tell moira. she'll be thrilled. just bring 'em by anytime you're in neighborhood (duboce triangle). and, same to you, hope all is well.
