Best Pizza in San Francisco?

Location: San Francisco

I have tried a ton of pizza places in San Francisco without finding one that I love. Does anybody have any recommendations or favorites that they can share with me?

I have yet to find a great delivery place, but for dining in or pick-up my favs are Patxi's or Little Star for deep dish and Pauline's for thin.

Little Star. Best deep dish EVER!!! Two locations to serve you: Mission and Western Addition. You can call ahead and pick it up.

My wife and I recently moved out of SF and we agree that this is the #1 thing we miss. (Um, except for our excellent friends there.)

Oh, and Goat Hill Pizza (Potrero Hill) is good too, but it's no Little Star. :-)

Thanks for the response Rachel! Little Star is actually on my list to try. Where is Paxti's?

I am a fan of thin crust pizza and my particular favorites are Piccino's in the Dogpatch area and Gialina in Glen Park.

Patxi's is in Hayes Valley on Hayes b/w Laguna and Octavia. If you've ever had Zachary's in Berkeley, Patxi's is the closest to it I've found!

Miriam's taste is impeccable; I'd follow her to any restaurant.

I too prefer thin crust. Piccino's is our all-round family favorite. My daughter loves their pizza bianco. Husband loves that they usually have one with an egg on top.

Gialina: I had most interesting combo of toppings on a pizza there, ever. Yum.

I like Pizzeria Delfina too. The pizza is really good and I dream of their cauliflower side dish.
