I love this book, along with everything else they have written. The philosophy they have is flexible, so you can implement it in conjunction with a stricter or more lenient parenting style. It emphasizes empathy with strong boundary setting and enabling self-reliance.
The book has tons of examples and basically provides a toolbox of techniques to use in a wide range of situations.
