Pros:

Well made, cleans effectively and extremely quiet

Cons:

Not everyone ready to play chess with their household appliances

Disclaimer: I'm a Boschaholic. The 12 step program failed.

The dischwascher & the cooktop have been great so had to go with Robert's top of the line when the laundry stuffs started needing monthly repairs.

This front-loading washer has been excellent. Clothes come out amazingly clean, regardless of the cycle I use. For those who want that "extra sanitary" confidence, the washer heats water to ridiculously high temperatures (as high as 170F) in some cycles. Boiled boxers anyone?

Supposedly, it saves loads of water. Good for lowering the utility bills and pacifying the local envirofundamentalists.

As with all Bosch appliances, quiet performance is the key. Bosch continues to be the only maker I'm aware of that has the guts to actually specify the db rating for each model. This one is 54db. Means alot more to me than Quiet Pak I vs. II vs. whatever.

Like many modern machines, it has a digital readout and all kinds of electronics. The disadvantage of this is that one actually has to read the owner's manual. Can be challenging for housekeepers, houseguests and anyone else who doesn't want to play chess with their appliances.

Also, if you're in the "I need a short cycle" camp, this model doesn't seem to have one as far as I can tell. Shortest cycles still take a good 40 minutes.

Overall, a brilliant machine.

Clearly some deep-seated issues with mom choosing the name "Lonnie" over "Wolfgang."

You got yours at University Electric too, right?
