Carl, the owner, personally interacts with all customers, is very straightforward and almost apologetic when quoting fees because he is not trying to "sell" anything. Rare to hear an auto repair person say stuff like, "that problem doesn't affect the basic operation of the vehicle so no harm in leaving it be." He has amazing knowledge of the vehicles, seemingly able to diagnose problems from the vague descriptions and goofy mimicking noises that customers make before even looking. His expertise is so deep that he can guesstimate the cost of a repair off the top of his head, although always following up with an accurate estimate by phone later. Nordic isn't fancy. The reception area is tiny and there is no shuttle, no "courtesy cars," etc. Carl really gets that people don't want to spend a fortune maintaining their cars - he just keeps it all simple. To top it all off, Carl just happens to be Swedish! Highly recommended.

I was also quite pleased with Scandia for the years I owned a Volvo. I just wish they worked on the makes I own now!
