Pros:

Free WiFi; big Children's library wing

Cons:

It's in Foster City

I went there to meet with a user research subject. He wanted to meet us at the library because there is free WiFi there. It turns out that during the early days of his start-up, it was one of the founders' favorite places to work because it had comfortable working space as well. I was also impressed with the selection of books...and a wing exclusively for children's books!

This is really good to know. Do you know if they have private meeting rooms?

When I was down in Santa Monica meeting with Mike, the library there had private rooms you could reserve for a few hours, complete with white board and power outlets (and free wifi). It was pretty hard to beat, and I haven't seen anything like that up here at any of the south bay libraries (cupertino/los altos/san jose)... anyone else know?

I didn't see any private rooms when I was there, but then again, I wasn't looking for them. You might want to check with them...
