Palm Treo 750 Unlocked Phone with 3G, MP3/Video Player, and MiniSD Slot--U.S. Version with Warranty
Yes, that's right, the Treo. Mine wasn't unlocked (company issue on the Sprint network) but doesn't matter. All of the functionality works, the latest Palm OS is relatively smooth and it doesn't have to be "rebooted" every few hours like my old Treo. There are a million available accessories (my Bluetooth keyboard is great on an airplane), the corporate e-mail through Good works great and the phone takes a beating - I drop it regularly without consequence. Most importantly, I actually type emails people can read because the darn thing has buttons! Yes, it's relatively big and heavy but while people are returning their "hot" phones left and right, this old box keeps on ticking.

Blackberries are very solid but I have never owned one. From what I have heard the primary differences to Treos are that BBs (i) have their own excellent email service (no need to rely on Good); (ii) are even more stable; and (iii) have a sort of trackball or wheel instead of a touchscreen.BB fans seem to rave the most about the Curve and that "world phone" model (I forget the number). The Pearl is popular and very compact, but the keyboard is not full QWERTY.
