Cafe Gibraltar
The food is UNBELIEVABLY unique, authentic and delicious. It's classified as Mediterranean, but don't expect to find gyros here... Instead, visualize Gibraltar on a map, and then imagine the culinary influences of its neighbors... Spain, France, Morocco, Greece, even Turkey. Whenever we come to CG, I can feel my salivary glands working overtime as we read the menu and smell the food. They offer a few mainstays, but pride themselves on presenting seasonally fresh, fresh (and organic) food. The ambiance is casual yet romantic. It's the kind of place where you can go in jeans from the beach, or use your evening out as an excuse to put on a party dress. And you can't beat the value. Most appetizers are under $10, and entrees are in the $18-$25 range. They offer a special prix fixe from 5-6 during the week. I know this short review hasn't done CG justice. Just go! I promise you won't be sorry.

Nice call Lauren, we have been there many times and love it. Possibly because the location is off the beaten path, CG isn't that crowded despite a good Zagat review and increasing fame. Perhaps a double date is in order next time we both get babysitters?!
